Good Evening (or
whenever you read this).
Some good news.
My apologies to WGRZ. Break was over before I had a chance to check their site.
Amherst decided
against using fracking waste waster on its streets as a de-icing
agent during winter weather.
There are other
safer (and environmentally friendly) ways to do this,
I'm happy.
Let's enjoy a little
victory.
One that helps out
Western New York.
A little icing on
the cake (pun if you want it) – Entergy Corporation is closing the
nuclear power plant in Oswego.
Evidently it's not
profitable (never was for the people). After all funding nuclear
energy costs $15+ a kWh. That's too expensive in my book.
Sit back. Breathe
and relax for a moment.
We have more work to
do.
The Town of Clymer
is using the cancer causing killer chemicals on its roads.
It thinks it is
saving money.
Wait for the bills
for the water pollution and other environmental damage to come in.
And then there are
are cancer cases waiting in the wings.
The sooner we help
them change course, and the municipalities in Livingston County that
are making the same mistake and run the risk of contaminating Lake
Ontario, the sooner we can put the frackers out of business.
We also need to get
Indian Point closed. That's down-state. And we need to help our NYC comrades.
Piece by piece we
will win.
It's nice to have a
victory.
And if you're
sitting on your laurels, they are on the wrong end of your body…..
Now let's get ready
for the next victory.
