$15 Now was not a
suggestion.
It was a demand.
Not sometime after
2020 and a review to see if minimum wages need adjusting.
The two capitalist
parties played their cards quite well in the last budget. They
passed a minimum wage increase and they split NY in two and pitted
them against each other.
NYC will get $15
soon. There will be fast increases to get them to $15. In a few
years.
NYC is also
expensive to live in, so they need $15. Just not yet.
The rest of NYS will
be bumped up in $0,70 increments to $12.70 an hour.
Mathematically
$12.70 is not $15.
Someone failed basic
math back in elementary school.
But then again,
upstate isn't as expensive as NYC, so we don't need it?
Hello?
The demand was $15.
Now.
That is what we
protested for.
Not $12.70.
BTW: When $12.70 is
reached, Albany is going to look and see if we need $15 an hour.
This is a perfect
ploy to pit upstate against downstate.
Specifically divide the
working class against itself.
Divide and conquer.
We the people need
to see through the charade and demand $15 Now FOR ALL.
No Upstate-Downstate divide.
No Upstate-Downstate divide.
